Sci-Port Discovery Center

Sci-Port, Louisiana’s Science Center, is a 92,000 square-foot science and entertainment center on the riverfront in downtown Shreveport. The center features over 290 hands-on science, math, and space exhibits, a Space Dome Planetarium, a 3-D IMAX Dome, and PoP’s Children Museum. Sci-Port offers something for everyone. 

Chimp Haven

Chimp Haven, a chimpanzee sanctuary just south of Shreveport, was established in 1995 as a home for rescued chimpanzees. The 220 acre-sanctuary, complete with tall trees and climbing structures, allows the chimps that currently live at the facility to have large social groups to encourage development and rehabilitation. Chimp Haven also offers a “Classrooms that Care” program to area K-12 schools, a structured education program where regional students learn about chimpanzees in the classroom and then supplement their study with a trip to the Chimp Haven campus. 

Gators & Friends

Gators & Friends is the largest adventure park in Northwest Louisiana with an estimated 150 Alligators and more.  Spend the day in nature with exotic animals from around the world, zipline over a swamp filled gator habitat or speed around curves on Gator Raceway in high-performance
Go-Karts.  You will create memories that last a lifetime!

Shreveport Aquarium

The Shreveport Aquarium is a captivating attraction for families. Spanning over 20,000 feet, this aquarium offers visitors state-of-the-art exhibits and interactive displays for all ages. From the vibrant marine life, colorful tropical fish, to jellyfish, and even the ability to encounter playful otters and sharks, the Shreveport Aquarium promises an unforgettable adventure that inspires a love for marine life and environmental stewardship. 

Bounce House Shreveport

The Bounce House Shreveport is a locally owned business established in 2023. We are the premier indoor inflatable fun park and our mission is to make your special event Bounce! We are the states largest and newest InflataPark facility and we feature a safe toddler area, challenging obstacles, plenty of selfie stations, open bounce spaces, slides and interactive action games like the Ninja Wall and MeltDown!

Wonder Oasis

Wonder Oasis Waterpark in Shreveport is home to 20 acres of enticing water slides and fun play areas to entertain visitors of all ages. The water park includes a lagoon area for swimming and relaxing, as well as a 17,000-square-foot wave pool. Guests can float down a lazy river or enjoy an expansive children’s pool featuring a kid’s castle with multiple slides surrounded by interactive water toys. 

Shreveport Little Theatre

Shreveport Little Theatre, one of the oldest continuously producing community theaters in America, specializes in voice, dance, and acting instruction. Shreveport Little Theatre provides live performances and education camps, classes, and workshops that are designed specifically for youth. The organization produces a variety of performances each year such as “Mamma Mia!,” “High School Musical,” “Shrek,” and others. 

Centenary Suzuki School

The Centenary Suzuki School (CSS) provides top instruction to area violin, viola, and cello students, helping motivated young men and women advance their talents. The program has trained more than 2,000 students in the respected Suzuki method since 1977. CSS students have been chosen for principal chairs in their high school orchestras and have received special honors in the All-State Orchestra. 

Louisiana State Exhibit Museum

Completed in 1939 as one of the New Deal’s Public Works projects, the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum is an architectural jewel built in the ultra-modern style of the time. This circular building is home to 23 beautifully rendered scale dioramas that portray a snapshot of Louisiana life in the 1940s. LSEM’s collection includes Louisiana Native American artifacts, regional and national history artifacts, original works by local artists, and natural history exhibits.

R.W. Norton Art Gallery

The R.W. Norton Art Gallery houses an exceptional collection of art spanning more than four millennia. Since its opening in 1966, the museum has become particularly well-known around the country for its impressive collections of works by those titans of western art, Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell. The R.W. Norton Art Gallery is a teaching museum that uses the art to encourage community participation in thoughtful interpretations and discussions.

CABOSA

Caddo Bossier Soccer Association and Shreveport United Soccer Club is a nonprofit, youth sports organization having the primary objective of teaching sportsmanship, discipline, leadership, teamwork and physical conditioning through the playing and promotion of soccer. CABOSA-SU programs meet the needs of youth athletes at both the recreational and competitive levels offering play based upon interest and ability for anyone who enjoys soccer. CABOSA/SU is an affiliate of the Louisiana Soccer Association (LSA), US Youth Soccer, and US Club Soccer.

Shreveport Little League

Shreveport Little League offers competitive baseball and softball opportunities to boys and girls from ages 4 to 15. Teams are organized for both Spring and Fall Seasons.
